Fina Park
Fina Park, comprising over 32 acres of tree-studied lawns, is Fina’s administrative centre and home to four of our accommodation facilities, Greenwattle 1 and 2, Uhlmann and Tandara. It doesn’t matter where you live, all Fina clients and families are welcome to enjoy Fina Parks offerings:
- the wheelchair-friendly Flame Tree Bushwalk
- community vegetable garden complete with wheelchair-accessible paths
- a Moreton Bay fig tree picnic area (food and picnic packs can be ordered from our kitchen)
- and an undercover family barbecue facility.
- A commercial kitchen
Clients can spend time in Fina’s commercial kitchen with our in-house chef, Michael, where they learn about food, nutrition and cooking. Michael also works with our clients and staff to design healthy, balanced meals which ensure a healthy weight, avoid diet-related illnesses and support appropriate levels of activity.
Accommodation
Greenwattle
The Greenwattle facility is situated on 32 acres of grounds at Fina Park. Greenwattle is wheelchair accessible and suitable for clients with high-care needs Greenwattle comprises two 4-bedroom houses. In the Greenwattle 1, two bedrooms have their own ensuite and two bedrooms share a large bathroom. In Greenwattle 2, each bedroom shares a large bathroom with one other bedroom. There is also a fully equipped client laundry. Each bedroom has its own individual courtyard. There is an open plan living area comprising kitchen, dining and lounge room. Greenwattle also offers a communal barbecue courtyard. Greenwattle also features staff amenities to facilitate 24-hour, round-the-clock care.
Tandara
Also located at Fina Park, Tandara is specially equipped for clients with intensive high-care support needs. Tandara is a wheelchair accessible, 4-bedroom house featuring one client bathroom with toilet and shower and a separate client toilet in laundry. Each bedroom has its own individual courtyard. There is a large, communal open-plan dining and lounge/television area. The commercial kitchen, operated by our Executive Chef, Michael, offers meals tailored to each client’s complex meal plans. Tandara also offers a quiet sitting/reading room (no TV or radio) and a communal BBQ courtyard. There is a separate staff accommodation facility to ensure 24 hour, round-the-clock care.
Malpa House
Malpa House is Fina’s medium-term facility, set up to provide up accommodation for up to 90 days. Malpa House offers 9 bedrooms, each with its own private courtyard. There are 2 client bathrooms and 2 separate client toilets. Malpa House has a large communal kitchen, dining and loungeroom area as well as a large quiet/reading room.
The expansive communal outside sitting area, accessed from the lounge area, is complemented by a BBQ area out the back. The Malpa House includes a large veggie patch and garden. There are, of course, separate staff facilities to ensure 24-hour, round-the-clock care along with two separate meeting rooms for health professional consultations, support coordinators and other stakeholders.
Uhlmann House
Also located at Fina Park, Uhlmann House is a 4 bedroom facility, featuring 2 client bathrooms, a kitchen/dining room and a lounge area. Uhlmann House adjoins the large Fina BBQ and outside dining area. It also features a staffroom to facilitate 24-hour, round-the-clock care.
Sylvester House
Sylvester House is an expansive property with 7 bedrooms, each with its own access to a shared balcony. There are 2 client bathrooms, a spacious kitchen/dining area and generous lounge room/ living area. As well as a large front yard, Sylvester features a roomy back courtyard with a barbecue area. Staff facilities include a small kitchenette, eating area and bathroom to accommodate 24-hour, round-the-clock care.
